Occupation? Marital status? Are you a mom?
I am a former ESL teacher, current newspaper employee. Not married, but I do have a supportive derby widow and a dog I treat like a baby.

Watching English football (erm, soccer!), playing with my dog, traveling, daydreaming…

Other sports you have played?
Track, cross country and soccer were what I was good at, as a kid and as a high school athlete.

How did you get into derby?
I attended college in Santa Barbara, and found out there was a team that was just finishing its first season. It sounded crazy (and fantastic), so I bought my first (terrible) pair of skates and started rolling around my neighborhood. And before I knew it, I was in love with this sport!

Favorite food?
Does coffee count as a food group? What about Belgian sour ale?

Favorite roller derby player?
I have SO many TXRG skaters I’ve learned so much from and look up to, both from their Rec League training and from watching them skate at bouts.

How/why did you pick your derby name?
I love the Ramones. (Well, that and my first 10-15 choices were already taken.)

You play several positions, which one is your favorite & why?
I definitely block more than I jam, and I’ve especially been enjoying all of the new blocking techniques that have developed over the last couple years that I never would have thought of when I first started playing. Derby evolves so quickly!

Which one of your tattoos is your favorite – what is it and why?
Everyone always looks surprised when I tell them I have no tattoos, but it’s true!
