Who is your favorite band/musician/group? Too many to mention, but if I can dance to it, then I like it.

How did you get into derby? I was living in Kentucky in 2006 and was at my bestie’s party when a friend of his started talking to me about roller derby. I agreed that it sounded super rad and offered to help her get a league going. This conversation went back and forth for a few months with a small group of us coming together regularly to figure out what the @#%! we were doing. Thus began the Rollergirls of Central Kentucky. I moved to Austin about a month after we got a regular practice venue and before I ever bouted. Most of the other skaters were more familiar with derby history and kept telling me I had to try out for the Texas Rollergirls. I had no idea what I was getting into, but figured I might as well give it a shot.

Favorite food? Pizza. Hands down.

How/why did you pick your derby name? I used to go by Ann T. Pathic, but everybody always screwed that up, plus they just started calling me Dilla. Dilla stuck.

First thing you do after a derby bout: Change! I am out of uniform and in street clothes faster than you can say “Alright!”

Would you like to brag about your skates? I know squat about skates or gear, but my skate bag got stolen out of my car at an afterparty and I was sure that it was all gone forever. A month later, it showed up totally intact in a bank lost and found three miles from where it was stolen. Magic skates!

Which one of your tattoos is your favorite – what is it and why? My current favorite is the last one I got — Shank and I decided to get matching best friend tattoos on $13 tattoo day at a local shop celebrating their one year anniversary. My overall favorite though is my “Kentucky Bred” one.
