Tofu

Favorite roller derby player?
I have two: Miss Lead and Speedo (Houston Roller Derby)

Who inspires you?
My sister: she is always upbeat and positive even when she had breast cancer. She is the greatest mom ever! Never misses anything if she can help it when it comes to her daughters!

What are you most thankful for in your life?
I am most thankful for my wonderful husband and super smart, loving child!

How/why did you pick your derby name?
I sent out a request to all my friends and family and my cousin had the best idea since she knew that I absolutely LOVE Horror movies!

How has roller derby impacted your life?
Roller derby has made me a better person. I work harder for things that I want and don’t allow myself to slack. If I want something, I know I have to fight for it and I’m okay with that!

What’s the hardest part of being a rollergirl?
Being away from my family. I always want to be home with my son, but practice takes me away a lot!

Which one of your tattoos is your favorite – what is it and why?
I have a Halloween back piece. My husband and I were married on Halloween, so it’s an homage to our marriage. My son is also in the tattoo dressed in his pirate costume that he wore at the reception, so I’ll never, ever forget the best day ever!
